About the Artist
Becky Kelso has been designing jewelry for over 30 years and her brand has been featured at Barney’s, Isetan Japan, Neiman Marcus, Takashimaya, Saks Fifth Avenue, Erika Tanov, Ylang23, Twist, Free People, Sundance, Banana Republic and over 250 specialty boutiques.
In her teens she studied fashion design at FIDM and was a wardrobe stylist for print and film in Los Angeles. Her first jewelry class was from a Navajo Indian jewelry teacher and her love of indigenous designs has never ceased. In her early twenties she built a home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and studied silver smithing, Spanish and lithography. While in Los Angeles, she manufactured Noguchi and Eames furniture for Modernica and worked as a gallery curator.
Everything is made near her 6 acre farm in Sebastopol, California custom home where she is inspired by the natural elements around her. She loves hand-woven textiles, creating beauty through modern architecture, and nesting with antiques and organic materials. All evocative in her detailed, layered and elegant designs.
